Prior to joining WPXI-TV, she worked at WTHR-TV, an NBC-affiliated television station in Indianapolis, Indiana as a news anchor and reporter for three years.
While in WTHR-TV, she anchored the Weekend Sunrise News. Alyssa also developed an original franchise called “A Ray of Sunshine” and a biweekly cooking segment with Chef Tanorria Askew. Previously before joining WTHR-TV, she served as a Freelance Reporter at WTAE-TV in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Alyssa joined the station in February 2017 and left in October the same year.
In 2018, while in WTHR-TV she was awarded a Lower Great Lakes Chapter Regional Emmy for a story about a teenager who was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma.
