She joined the station news team in January 2004 and is proud of the fact that many of her animal investigations have not only educated people but have also resulted in changes to the law in Miami-Dade and Broward counties.
Jacey’s very first employment after graduating from university came in late 1999 when she received a reporting role with WBOY-TV in Clarksburg, Virginia. Her first assignment at the station was covering the expected disaster of the Y2K bug, and her story won her rave reviews.
Later after six months, Jacey got her next position at WDBJ in Roanoke, Virginia, where she was in charge of daily weather reports and entertainment stories in the Star City. From Virginia, It was then on to Nashville, Tennessee, the country music capital of the world. There Jacey was in charge of anchoring the weekend weathercasts as well as reporting from the field. During her time at WZTV, she spent a week in South Carolina going through boot camp with the Marine recruits for a special series.
In addition, Jacey spends most of her free time on the water snorkeling, on land exercising, at home reading, writing her blog whenever the mood strikes, and helping animals regardless of where she is or what she is doing.
