Over her career, Karyn has received many awards, honoring both her professional work and community contribution. Among her achievements include two awards from the Atlanta Association of Black Journalists, six Southeast Emmy awards, and a Salute to Excellence award from the National Association of Black Journalists.
Karyn serves on the Board of Governors for the National Academy of Television, Arts & Sciences and was a past president of the Atlanta Press Club. She is also a member of the Greater North Atlanta Chapter of Jack and Jill of America Inc. and a board member of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
